Doyle’s Room Accepting US Players Again, Defies Closure as Empty Threat

Poker Laws, Poker News

Doyle Brunson, the Godfather of Poker and the man behind Doyle’sRoom.com, one of the 141 online poker domain names seized by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, appears to think that the risk of his beloved poker room being forced to close is a dead issue. He only learned the story was “big news” when he saw his face on the Wall Street Journal’s front page.

What’s he been focused on? Making his site available to US players again, and he’s succeeded! Yes, online poker players in the US are welcome to play at Doyle’s Room again. As a recent mailer sent out to Doyle’sRoom affiliates put it:

“It gives me great pleasure to inform you that DoylesRoom.com is back in the USA Market. Commencing October 19, 2007, all US-players are welcomed to enjoy our redesigned, faster and better poker tables.”

And Doyle comforts players not to worry about the Kentucky threat. As he sees it, the case won’t hold up in appeal.

If Doyle’s Room though doesn’t tickle your fancy, maybe try out one of the best 3D poker rooms around.
