One of the 9 players in the final table for the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, to be played on November 7, just won $45,000 in an online poker tournament. The player is Joe Cada, a 21-year-old from the Detroit area who plays online every Sunday. The tournament was a $150 rebuy tournament at Full Tilt Poker, in which Cada took second place. He adds this $45,000 prize to the $28,214 he won in two 2009 WSOP side events.
And this is on top of the minimum $1,263,602 Joe makes for making it to the 2009 WSOP Main Event final table. Like all of the “November Nine”, including the crowd and odds-makers’ favorite Phil Ivey, Joe is hoping for that $8,546,435 top prize
Joe says that between now and Nov 7, besides playing online every Sunday, he will also be entering the WPT Legends of Poker event at the Bell Gardens, California Bicycle Casino from August 22 to 26.
