The Alderney Gambling Control Commission “AGCC” past licenser of Full tilt Poker, issued a press release to prior Full tilt Poker players stating they no longer provide a permit for Full Tilt and moreover does not have any power to arbitrate in relation to Full Tilt players and problems with the internet poker website. The report furthermore determined that grievances will continued to be sent to their local police and advocates any players that are still due money to speak to the authorities.

Should they feel that they were the victim of a criminal offence; the AGCC has recommended they speak to police to consider future actions.

Although the report from the AGCC failed to reference anything concerning the acquisition of Full tilt Poker by funding group Grouped Bernard Tape, it’s still belief that GBT will obtain the internet poker brand and property from the US DOJ for $80M. With transfer, the US could drop all charges. It remains unknown if players can expect to be refunded confiscated monies, though most are optimistic that when the takeover is completed, owners can make their utmost effort to repay what is owed to US players.

After less-than promising reports of low player interaction, the World Poker Tour announced the end of its long-standing partnership with <a href="http://www.cryptologic.com/"TARGET = "_blank">Cryptologic, the gaming software company responsible for many of our favorite online poker sites. Instantly, WPT fans playing at Cryptologic online poker rooms, in part entering satellites and qualifiers to win seats into World Poker Tour land-based events, worried those opportunities may have slipped through their fingers.

But not so fast. WPT wouldn’t do that to its fans. Instead, they’ve teamed up with InterPoker, the online poker room of InterCasino. One of the appeals of the Inter Casino family to WPT officials was the VIP sort of treatment that the company’s gaming sites provided to every single player, poker pro or no.

To make this transition as sweeping a success as possible, InterPoker is rolling out a series of brand-new WPT-related promotions, offers, and tournaments.

In addition, the WPT also announced a similar partnership with Full Tilt Poker, another online player favorite.

One other popular gaming software company not mentioned in this article is <a href="http://www.microgaming.com/"TARGET = "_blank">MicroGaming. This software company provides great online gaming experiences both at the poker table and online casino tables and slots. <a href="http://www.microgaming.com/home.aspx?pid=1"TARGET = "_blank">Microgaming Casinos include River Bell, Vegas Joker and Vegas Slot to name a few.

Anyone worried about online poker security need only read the recent story of 26-year-old Brian Townsend to have their concerns assuaged.

Multi-accounting is a crime that doesn’t only hurt internet poker rooms but internet poker players as well, as it involves one player misrepresenting himself by playing at the same site under two different usernames.

After strong suspicions aroused by Townsend’s opponents, he was eventually pressed to confess to his wrongdoing, that being:
• playing at Full Tilt Poker as “sbrugby” in high-stakes and “Stellarnebula” in low-stakes games
• and playing at PokerStars as “aba20” in high-stakes and “Makersmark66” in low-stakes games

All poker sites forbid such activity, but it’s reasonable to wonder realistic it is to enforce such a policy. Which is why this story is of such interest to all online poker players, because if you don’t think it’s possible for these multi-accounting cheaters to get caught and dealt with, think again.
