The Playtech iPoker Network’s biggest internet poker room and (allegedly) Europe’s leading poker site, Titan Poker, announced the approaching of it’s 3rd installment of the European Championship of Online Poker (aka ECOOP III).

The European Championship of Online Poker runs from November 24 through December 7. This 3rd incarnation of the ECOOP is the first to be extended to 14 days, the previous two incarnations running just 10 days, with $2.5 million given away in year 1 and $3.6 million in year 2.

Players are already sitting in at daily qualifiers currently running to win seats at the event’s 14 nights of contentious poker tournaments. The total guaranteed prize pool this year is over $4 million, with the December 7 main event alone promising $1.5 million to the winners.

ECOOP III events will encompass the full range of online poker tournaments, including Limit and No Limit Texas Holdem, Omaha Hi/Lo, Pot Limit Omaha, and others.

The eagerly-awaited, annual online poker extravaganza known as the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is underway again, and it’s not too late to enter!

Sure, about a third of the tournament’s 33 events have already taken place (we’ll hold off printing any results until after the entire event is completed), but that leaves 2/3 more of the prize pool left unclaimed.

PokerStars is currently the world’s biggest poker site, and the WCOOP is its biggest annual event, with $30,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. The event includes tournaments in virtually every poker game under the sun:

Omaha

7-Card Stud

Razz

HORSE

5-Card Draw

2-7 Draw

Triple Draw

and of course Texas Holdem

There are hi/lo events and limit, pot limit, and no limit tournaments running in most categories. Players can enter in one of two ways:

Pay the buy-in directly

Play a satellite tournament a win a seat into a given event

The 2008 WCOOP runs until Sept 21-22 when players sit in at the main event for a shot at their share of the $10,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players can watch live coverage of all the events at the PokerStars blog.
